Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.

Resume content: When you upload a resume, we process its text content to provide our optimization service. We store your parsed resume content in our database to enable features like tailoring history.

Usage data: We collect information about how you use the Service, including pages visited and features used, through Vercel Analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide and improve the Service; process your resume content through AI to generate tailored output; process payments; send transactional emails (account verification, password resets); and analyze usage patterns to improve the product.

3. AI Processing

Your resume content and job descriptions are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI for processing. This data is used solely to generate your tailored resume and is subject to Anthropic's data processing terms. We do not use your content to train AI models.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies ensuring you can only access your own data. All data is encrypted in transit via HTTPS. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI resume processing
• Stripe — payment processing
• Vercel — hosting and analytics
• Sentry — error monitoring

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information or resume content to third parties. We only share data with the third-party services listed above as necessary to provide the Service.

7. Your Rights

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use Vercel Analytics for anonymous usage tracking. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

9. Data Retention

We retain your account data and resume content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your data within 30 days. Payment records may be retained longer as required by law.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
